NO HOMO

NO HOMO is a fantastical, made up voyage through deep Bubblegum Space. Watch as the lone vessel [ The Spaceman ] moves through an alien but also familiar landscape.

Utilising persona and popular culture to contextualise meaning and autobiography, NO HOMO is a space exposĂ© of the patriarchal gender constructs that have conditioned and placed internalised homophobia into a queer body.

Dan Brown

Dan Brown is a multidisciplinary performance artist based in Glasgow, originally from Blackburn, West Lothian. His performance work draws on the theatrical, utilising persona and popular iconography to recontextualize meaning and mediate autobiography. Brown’s work takes the form of performance but also includes film in the form of short film-work and multimedia projection within performance. Through his practice, Brown questions how he situates himself in the world, drawing on his own autobiography to create a mutual understanding between himself and his audience.
